Trentino belongs to the upper Italian region of Trentino-South Tyrol and offers an enormously diverse range of grandiose landscapes; from lovely orchards and vineyards to far-reaching glaciers. With its Mediterranean climate and lifestyle in the Adige Valley, the bizarre Dolomites in the north, east and west, UNESCO World Heritage Site, its national parks Stelvio Pass, Adamello-Brenta and Paneveggio, its contiguous forests, valleys, alpine pastures, rivers, streams and its almost 300 lakes and 70 castles, combined with the many rustic and stylish mountain villages and the historic old towns of Trento, Rovereto and Pergine, which blend brilliantly into the landscape, create unique and unforgettable holiday impressions. Here you can expect mountain peaks with a height of up to 3767 meters, more than 1000 hiking trails with a total length of over 5000 kilometers in all levels of difficulty, mountain bike trails with a length of over 500 kilometers and climbing walls, via ferrata, glaciers, water sports of all kinds, art, Culture, cuisine (9 restaurants with Michelin stars) and a consistently good infrastructure in terms of local amenities, bars, restaurants, rustic inns and pizzerias, as well as public transport. The temperatures are also mild and warm in the mountains from mid-April to mid-October, the weather conditions are mostly stable, with an average of around 300 days of sunshine a year. Excursions in Trentino from our cottage


Some worthwhile excursion destinations in Trentino are the rare earth pyramids of Segonzano at a distanze of 30 kilometers. In Trento, 25 kilometers away, you can visit the historical old town and numerous museums such as the newly opened "Muse" and participate in the pulsating life of the provincial capital. Check out the unique natural spectacle "Orrido di Ponte Alto". It is absolutely unique and exudes pure magic. In the spectacular gorge there are two beautiful waterfalls that are about 40 meters high. They are surrounded by huge, red rock faces. Here the Fersina river from the Valle dei Mòcheni makes its way fo flow into the Adige river near Trento.
Enjoy a day trip to Fassa Valley, 50 kilometers away, to admire the bizarre dolomitic towers of the Catinaccio and Latemar.
Visit the world famous town Venice, 150 kilometers away from the chalet, with its unique flair on a day trip by rail through the Valsugana. Let yourself be enchanted by Lake Garda, 50 kilometers distant, with its Mediterranean microclimate and its unique villages. An experience of a special kind is an opera visit in the Arena of Verona a distanze of 125 from our chalet.
Also visit the she-wolf in Vetriolo Terme, made by a Trentino artist from 2000 pieces of wood and roots. The she-wolf serves to commemorate the devastating storm Vaia in October 2018, which killed 20 million trees in Trentino. Distance from the hut: 15 km.
